During the Indian Ambassador to the United States, Mrs. Nirupama Rao’s visit to Salt Lake City on June 13th, the World Trade Center of Utah hosted a luncheon in honor of the Ambassador and her delegation. The event was enthusiastically attended by nearly 80 Utah business professionals and Indian community leaders in the State.
Speaking at the occasion, Mrs. Rao commented, “Less than a decade ago, trade between our two countries was $35 billion-a-year. Today, that number has nearly tripled to $100 billion and is poised to climb even higher.” She added that a generous visa policy for highly skilled workers would help strengthen ties between both the countries and be mutually beneficial.
Great networking amidst flavorful food as distinct aromas wafted through the board room made the Ambassador’s visit a truly memorable one.
