I’ve been dreaming about the New Year’s Day lunch buffet ever since our phones have been ringing off the hook with people asking us if we will be open on Jan 1st. We love our customers so much that we decided to kick up our New Years Day Lunch buffet a few notches.
We’re sure to get busy so if you’re coming in a big group, please call us ahead. And good news, we now have additional seating other than our main dining hall. Yayy!
Speaking of the menu, only my absolute favorites and hopefully yours have made the list. For starters we have cutlet channa, a popular street food from Bombay. Medhu Vada and spicy tandoori chicken wings have also made the list. Yumm!
One of our absolute favorite Indian dishes is Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biryaani, marinated chicken pieces, slow-cooked with basmati rice until the meat is so tender it’s falling off the bone. Much-celebrated and more of a phenomenon, we decided to feature it on the menu as well.
Rich, moist and packed with flavor, Assorted Hariyali and Chicken Malai Kebabs also made it to the menu. And let’s not forget the scrumptious curries– goan goat curry, chicken vindaloo, shahi paneer, dal pachrangi and zingy chilli potatoes. Assorted chutneys and accompaniments round off an altogether pretty spectacular buffet.
On most days I’m pretty convinced that our chef Kannan could actually be a genius. Perhaps a superhero, like in that new Rajnikanth movie. That’s going a bit far, but you get the idea…
And no matter how full you feel, it will be impossible to resist our desserts including rasmalai, strawberry shrikhand and a cup of masala chai.
So this New Year’s come and try an Indian Feast in town at Saffron Valley Indian Street Foods located at 1098 W South Jordan Pkwy in South Jordan. With a feast like this you are sure to start the year on the right note. Namaste!
Cost: $10.99 per person (adults); $7.99 (kids)
