Dosa Festival

Ah, the dosa. Back in India, I remember looking forward to the Dosa Festival each year. For those of you unfamiliar with the famous dosa, it is a wafer/crepe type finger food made from rice and lentils (no wheat). A tantalizing variety of dosas can be made, depending on your creativity. Should I stay with the simple plain dosa or the savory chicken tikka dosa? How about the long dosa or the cone dosa? With dipping sauces galore, I always felt the 1-week Dosa Festival was always too short to try all the different varieties.

Now, I can create my own Dosa Festival! From the week of April 25-30, Saffron Valley is going to feature over 20 different kinds of dosas. My favorites include the paper dosas, egg dosas, and curry dosas. Swing on by and try them for yourself! You’ll see why I say 1-week is never enough.

We are pleased to offer several mouth watering dosa varieties to you during our Dosa Festival, including Ghee Roast, Paper Masala Dosa, Lamb Mince Dosa, Coconut Dosa, Onion Pesarattu, and Tomato & Chilli Utappam.  Click here for a complete list of featured dosas this week.

Hope to see you soon!
